Greetings to all fellow seekers of healing and self-discovery!
In a world filled with challenges and uncertainties, finding strength and empowerment becomes a transformative journey. Let’s explore the profound teachings of the 6th Huna Principle, where MANA symbolizes Strength and Empowerment, encapsulated in the powerful mantra, “all power comes from within.”
Empowerment, to me, is more than a concept – it’s a profound shift in perspective. It’s about shouldering the responsibility for our words, actions, thoughts, feelings, and emotions. Too often, we relinquish our power, attributing life events to external forces. How many times have we whispered, “It was fate,” “You owe me,” or “It happened to me again”? These words, born from a sense of victimhood, often shield us from the incredible strength we carry within ourselves.
These phrases, a manifestation of victimhood and blame, shield us from taking responsibility for our inherent strength. Much of this conditioning stems from past traumas and a lack of clarity about our own boundaries. To empower ourselves, we must learn to articulate our needs and say no to situations that don’t serve us, creating pain or suffering.
I coin this transformation as the “empowerment of the heart,” where we assert our boundaries within the nurturing space of love. This leads us to the delicate yet powerful terrain of vulnerability. Traditional empowerment models, laden with wars, ego, and patriarchal abuse of power, have left a trail of suffering.
With MANA, we invite a harmonious union of Strength and Vulnerability, standing firmly for our tribe while remaining deeply connected to our hearts and emotions. From this integrated space, we announce our needs to the world. In doing so, people around us can absorb even painful truths, recognizing that they emerge from a space of integration, safety, and heartfelt sincerity.
Today, take a moment to reflect on where you might be giving your power away. Observe instances when blame or avoidance of responsibility creeps in. Cultivate an inner space of love and appreciation, clearly and lovingly asserting your boundaries. Start with five essential ways to reclaim your power:
- Give appreciation to others.
- Ask for what you need.
- Accept appreciation from others.
- Reject attention you don’t want.
- Give yourself words of appreciation.
Let’s inspire others by embodying empowerment, sharing love with the world, and collectively contributing to a more compassionate and empowered existence.
With heartfelt compassion and dedication,
