7 Hawaiian Principles To Change Your Life, No. 2: Freedom

Text from the series “Holistic Healing Chronicles: Nourishing Your Body, Mind, and Soul for Lasting Wellness” by Nisarga Eryk Dobosz.

Greetings to all fellow seekers of healing and self-discovery!

Understanding freedom requires profound trust and a willingness to surrender to the forces of the universe. In a realm often defined by concepts and boundaries, we find ourselves face to face with the infinite. Think of it this way: no matter how far we count, there will always be a number greater than the one before. This endless expanse is the beauty of infinity.

When you first encounter the phrase “There are no limits, everything is possible,” what thoughts arise within you? Perhaps a skeptical voice whispers, “But what about the constraints of reality? What about the limitations of our physical world?” It’s natural for our minds to grapple with such questions. Yet, the essence of true freedom lies beyond the boundaries of our mental constructs.

I like to envision KALA as the flow of energy—an intricate dance where our bodies, minds, and spirits are suspended within the vast bioenergetic field of existence. We are like drops in the ocean of life, interconnected and boundless. It’s within this expansive field that we discover our capacity to transcend physical limitations.

Consider the incredible power of distant Reiki healing, where energy can traverse vast distances to reach those in need. Or think of the boundless expansion of our heart’s auric field, reaching far beyond the confines of our physical form. Our limitations, I’ve come to realize, often stem from the stories we tell ourselves—stories crafted by a wounded society intent on boxing us in.

Yet, there is a way to rewriting these narratives. By shifting our belief systems and embracing new possibilities, we open ourselves to a world of boundless potential. Much like an eagle soaring high above, unrestricted by earthly confines, we can navigate life as a magnificent journey of self-discovery.

True fulfilment, I’ve found, emerges when we align with our soul’s purpose and offer our unique gifts in service to others. Freedom, then, becomes the key that unlocks the door to our fullest potential. And who knows? Perhaps what lies beyond is not just what we’ve imagined, but something far greater.

KALA stands as the ethereal bridge to the infinite, linking us to the Akashic records where the imprints of our forebears unveil the profound tapestry of life’s meaning. Amidst our journey, however, we may lose sight of our authentic selves and the purpose we carry. It demands courage to recall our essence and remain receptive to the myriad possibilities life unfolds. True liberation materializes when we establish healthy boundaries, articulate our needs, embrace positive affirmations, and steadfastly repudiate negativity. This involves nurturing self-love and compassion, emancipating ourselves from the shackles of external validation.

To fully harness our innate power, trust our latent potential, and embrace the entirety of our authentic selves—both shadows and light—is to embody the integrated essence of human existence. This profound realization empowers us to navigate the journey of life with sagacity, making choices in harmony with our true trajectory. Take a moment today to contemplate the principle of KALA. Evaluate the extent of your freedom, scrutinize dependencies on others, and candidly assess your relationships. Do they rest on foundations of comfort and safety, or do they resonate with love, joy, and compassion?

Ponder upon the true meaning of freedom in your life and explore how you can express your truth without causing harm, both to yourself and others. Envision sailing through the vast ocean of life, steering your vessel aligned with love and presence. Embrace the quintessence of KALA, and allow the winds of infinite possibilities to unfurl and guide your journey.
